What precautions should be taken when using glass tableware?
Glass is a brittle material, and its defects result in poor impact resistance. Even tempered glass tableware should not be subjected to impacts. Furthermore, when cleaning, never use steel wool to scrub any glassware. The friction between steel wool and the glass surface can create microscopic scratches that, to some extent, weaken the material and shorten its service life.

1. Glass is a brittle material, and its inherent defects result in poor impact resistance. Even tempered glass tableware should be protected from impacts. Additionally, when cleaning, never use steel wool to scrub any glassware, as the friction can create microscopic scratches that, to some extent, weaken the material and shorten its service life.
2. When using the container in the freezer, do not fill it beyond two-thirds of its capacity. For glassware, avoid storing liquids such as fruit juice, broth, milk, or porridge in sealed or partially sealed conditions, as the expansion of these foods upon freezing may cause the container to crack or break.
3. When heating in the microwave, be sure to leave the lid open. Although the lid is typically made of PP, which is resistant to both cold and heat with a temperature range of –20°C to 120°C, and the sealing gasket is made of silicone, capable of withstanding temperatures from –40°C to 200°C, thermal expansion and contraction can cause the lid to become difficult to open or deform, compromising the product’s seal.
4. Use a steamer with caution; for example, when steaming fish or custard, the pressure inside the steamer can create stress that interacts with tempered glass, potentially causing microscopic cracks in the glassware.
